Frequently asked questions
where IS the meeting point?
For teens registered in a snowboard group lesson, the meeting point is situated at the ESF meeting point on the snow front of Tignes Val Claret, close to the "Tufs" chairlift.
Find all our meeting points on our dedicated map, by clicking on the link below:
Will my teen earn a medal?
Yes! Each teen receives their ski medal at the end of the week !
The medal ceremony takes place every Friday, 15 minutes before the end of your teen's lesson.
Do I need to equip my teen with protections?
For teens and adults, wearing an helmet is highly recommended for skiing or snowboarding!
 > We also recommend wrist protection, back protection and protective shorts for beginners in snowboarding (Not obligatory).
My teen has never skied before, can I register him in a snowboarding lesson?
Yes! The two practices are totally different and each requires a very particular technique.
Does my teen need a ski pass?
This depends on the level of the lessons in which they are enrolled:
  • For teens enrolled in Beginner snow level, the instructor will tell you when the ski pass is required during the week.
  • From the Classe 1 snow level onward, the Tignes Val d'Isère ski pass is required!
Does my teen need to bring a snack?
If you can put a cereal bar in the pocket it will help if your teen gets hungry.
(An option of "Meals supervised by our instructors" will be offered during your online booking!)
I have booked a course at esf, do I have the guarantee that it will take place?
The organization of the course is guaranteed for a minimum number of participants depending on the type of course chosen. If the number of students is not sufficient, we will offer private lessons.
I cannot find the lesson and lift pass package online to book. Is this possible to book online?
This winter we invite you to buy your lift pass directly from the STGM (Society of Tignes ski lifts):
